Garden Classrooms

Beit HaYeladim Preschool

Beit HaYeladim is a preschool serving children 18 months to 6 years of age.  Our garden grows food that the children love to eat straight out of the ground as well as harvest and cook together.  We also have a flourishing butterfly garden that attracts many monarch butterflies daily.

Summer Language Camp: "The World Table"

Atlanta International School's popular Language Camps in French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, and ESL help campers develop their second language skills at all skill levels. Campers participate in immersion classes and activities such as theater and music delivered in their language of choice. Additionally sports, technology, and yoga activities are offered every week for a well-rounded camp experience.

Our three-week curriculum addresses all aspects of language: listening, speaking, writing, vocabulary, and most importantly, a lifelong interest in other cultures.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program: Mclaren Vale Primary School

To introduce pleasurable food education into as many Australian schools as possible.

The program emphasises the flavours as well as the health benefits of fresh seasonal food.

Produce that is grown in our gardens is harvested for kitchen classes.

Liberty School Garden

The Liberty School Garden is a growing garden classroom program established in 2012 by the Liberty PTA. We are starting small but have big goals! In the Spring, the 5th grade plants "Seed-to-Salad" and the Kindergarteners plant pole bean and snap pea teepees. After the Spring harvest, we get the remaining grades involved by planting the "Three Sisters" and other Fall veggies such as a pumpkin patch. Our program at the moment is small but we hope that with fundraising and more volunteers, with each school year our edible schoolyard will grow and grow!

Cleveland Botanical Garden

Cleveland Botanical Garden was founded in 1930. Our flagship program, Green Corps, began in 1996. Green Corps’ mission is to build life, work and leadership skills by employing and educating high school youth (ages 14 to 18) through the practice of sustainable agriculture, place-based learning and community engagement. Each year, Green Corps employs and educates an average of 70 to 75 teenagers that live within the city to work at one of six urban learning farms.

Paramount School of Excellence STEAM Program

Paramount School of Excellence incorporates its edible schoolyard into the K-8 curriculum. Every class has a garden plot to maintain. As a school, this process helps children discovery a vast array of curricular connections through gardening.

The TREE Program

The TREE Program's mission is to promote Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, and Envirnomental Health of Veterans and Youth through reconnecting to nature's wisdom and understanding.

The TREE Program grows community roots through cultivating nature’s wisdom and understanding to revitalize our returning Veterans and "at risk" youth to become the Leaders of Tomorrow.

Food for Thought Ojai

Mission Statement Food for Thought works with the local community to support, educate and inspire our school children and their families to make healthier food choices. Food for Thought (FFT) was organized by a group of concerned parents, educators and growers who first came together in the spring of 2002 to improve the nutritional status and food awareness of children in the Ojai Unified School District (OUSD).
