About the Program:

Atlanta International School's popular Language Camps in French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, and ESL help campers develop their second language skills at all skill levels. Campers participate in immersion classes and activities such as theater and music delivered in their language of choice. Additionally sports, technology, and yoga activities are offered every week for a well-rounded camp experience.

Our three-week curriculum addresses all aspects of language: listening, speaking, writing, vocabulary, and most importantly, a lifelong interest in other cultures.

Through group projects, campers will become more familiar with the language and get to practice with peers. Our highly qualified and multicultural faculty are almost exclusively native speakers and have a passion for their language and culture.

This year's theme is The World Table, through which students from 4k -- Middle School will be learning about the cultural, historical, biological and agricultural aspects of food within the socio-lingual framework of the camp. Special activities will include:

  • Field trips to local farms
  • Middle School volunteer opportunities at local farmers' markets
  • Workshops including canning and pickling, fermentation, natural dyeing, and more
  • Harvesting produce from our garden
  • Cooking with local produce
  • Special guests including local chefs and herbalists
