About the Program: 

 TMA's farm and garden programs serve 700 elementary school aged children.  Math and science skills taught in class are enhanced in the garden through problem based, exploratory, hands-on learning.  TMA's math and science CST scores have improved every year since children began participating in garden programs in 2008.  

Each school year our chlidren get to participates in a minimum of three garden based programs; they visit the garden 1-2 hours per month and beg for more.  

Students and parents raise approximately $6000 a year selling fresh produce and baked goods infused with garden ingredients.  Over 150 parents and 25 teachers participate in our garden programs.  

The TMA farm and garden exist in good measure  because the generous support of companies like Kellogg Garden Products, Coast Live Oak School, Slow Food OC, The Whole Kids Foundation, Tustin Public Schools Foundation, Justia, The Master Gardener Program, The Irvine Company, and many more.  We are indebted to each of them.
