Local Greens Abundance

We are a new hydroponic indoor farm in Berkeley producing lettuces, micro greens and herbs. We will begin serving local grocery stores next month. We anticipate overproduction of produce which we want to donate to Edible Schoolyard programs. We would like to offer two things:

1) Produce: living lettuces, micro greens and herbs

2) A resource called "Guess the Greens", a game students can play that inspires them to try  different varieties of greens in a fun way.

Please contact me if you feel we can contribute to your programs.

Thank  you!

Edible Schoolyard Project Stockton Community Farm

In the fall of 2021, the Edible Schoolyard Project secured the lease to a six-acre community farm located in South Stockton. This came after more than two years of building ties with residents in the area through an after-school cooking class at Taylor Leadership Academy and a program to distribute organic CSA boxes throughout the community.

The farm will soon host groups of students for classes that teach gardening and culinary skills, and will continue to be a place where community members can grow food on plots of land.

The Human Path Sustainable Gardening Program

Sustainable gardening makes up an important part of the homestead movement back to better health and a stronger connection to the land.  Introducing these garden techniques to youth is a great way to bring simple concepts into their every day life and give an alternative to the highly processed fast-food that is present everywhere.  Putting youth in charge of the growing process as well as the harvest and preserving of the food teaches life-long self reliance skills that will benefit them regardless of where they live.  The ability to effectively grow both medicinal and edible plants is one
