About the Program:

Sustainable gardening makes up an important part of the homestead movement back to better health and a stronger connection to the land.  Introducing these garden techniques to youth is a great way to bring simple concepts into their every day life and give an alternative to the highly processed fast-food that is present everywhere.  Putting youth in charge of the growing process as well as the harvest and preserving of the food teaches life-long self reliance skills that will benefit them regardless of where they live.  The ability to effectively grow both medicinal and edible plants is one of the most valuable skills an individual can have.

The sustainable gardening program at The Human Path is open to all ages as part of our urban curriculum.
