Phillippi Shores Elementary School Garden

Phillippi Shores School Garden contains 40 raised beds and is maintained primarily by Chef Paul Mattison. He is a proud sponsor of the Chefs Move to School Program and a proud father whose daughter attends Phillippi Shores.  The program includes a variety of academic components and is partnered with the Crowley Museum and Nature Center and sponsored by Mattison's Restaurants and Catering.

We OLive the World

"We OLive the World" is a program started by Stile Mediterraneo - the Mediterranean Cooking School in Puglia Italy.

Goal of the program is to improve people's health and wellbeing through the Mediterranean food and education.

Stile Mediterraneo is run by food experts, olive oil experts and doctors.

They have developed this unique program (We Olive the World) through which people learn two things:

Farm Style Cooking For Kids

Kids learn how to create delicious healthy snacks, salads and desserts with seasonal organic ingredients from local farmers markets. Farm Style Cooking classes celebrate the joy of tasting, touching, smelling and experiencing the foods we make and share with others.

Farm Style Cooking For Kids can be found at the Mar Vista Farmers Market and Beethoven Elementary School.

The Agrinauts Training Program

The Agrinauts Training Program takes on the challenges of the once established horticulture classroom at the Ghazvini Learning Center in Tallahassee, Fl, to pioneer students to develop their lifestyle and ocllective culture consciously through our relationship with food, academics, home, and community.

MaMa Florence

MaMa Florence is a new cooking school in Florence. It is a space created to offer cooking classes to people of all levels of cooking skill and to enable them to explore food, nutrition, ingredients, techniques and tastes in a convivial and warm environment in the heart of Tuscany.

Springhouse Green

 The reinvention of our food system is now part of the national dialogue with employers, employees, and communities at large looking to positively affect today’s concerns about escalating health care costs, food security and nutrition, personal and family health, community development, and “carbon footprint.” Springhouse Green offers simple solutions for greening corporate and community spaces with vegetable garden buildouts, nutrition counseling, lunch-and-learn workshops, garden maintenance services, and LEED applications.

Harvest Middle School

Harvest Middle School opened in 2004 with one fenced in area designated for gardening.  Soon after we have wrote a grant for materials to create raised garden beds, and enlisted a former student from the high school to help build the boxes.  The garden and several surrounding areas on campus were maintained by a small group of students and two teachers during a 30 minute time slot for several years.  Then the class became an enrichment or elective option and things began to blossom.  When the class became a full block period class, students planted every available space on
