Chicago Excel Academy

We are educators at an alternative high school on the south side of Chicago.  Our students, who are between ages 16-21, were not successful in the traditional school system for a wide variety of reasons. Because of these obstacles, they are undercredited, and for many of them, this is their last chance to earn a high school diploma.

Green School Bali

Green School is an international school in Bali, Indonesia, with approximately 300 students in Pre-K through Grade 12. These include fee-paying students from 40 countries and other parts of Indonesia, along with local Balinese children who attend via a scholarship program. Our commitment to sustainable practices earned us the Center for Green Schools at the US Green Building Council's innagural award as the “Greenest School on Earth”.

New Pond Farm

 Each year, using our outstanding outdoor classrooms, we bring students of all ages outside and offer hands-on environmental programs that focus on our habitats with their diverse flora and fauna. When people appreciate and understand the world around them, they become better stewards of their environment.

Project Raw FPC

Our Company is a California based Flexible Purpose Corporation that focuses primarily in 3 areas: Outreach, Education, Community.  

Our OUTREACH program helps homeless shelters and food underprivileged organizations to maximize the shelf life of their donated fruits and vegetables.  We then teach them the nutritional benefits of them and implement high speed blenders to mix the "green" in with their smoothies.

 

Our EDUCATION program is delivered through media and website that explain and teach individuals the importance of a plant based nutritional diet.

Beautiful Rainbow Garden

Beautiful Rainbow Catering Company and Garden is a program of the Special Education Department of the Gadsden City Schools.  Located at Litchfield Middle School in Gadsden, Alabama, Beautiful Rainbow is a garden -to-table education program for teenagers and young adults with special needs.  The mission of the program is to teach significantly cognitively impaired and autistic individuals a variety of academic and functional/vocational skills through the vehicles of gardening and cooking.

Edible Voices

Edible Voices is a program that broadcast stories of culinary activists - students, and culinary minded health professionals alike and creates "vignettes" or teachable moments. 

WWF - Food For Thought Sustainable Urban Gardening

Kapuskasing District High School received a $5000 Green CommUnity School Grant from the World Wildlife Fund with the support of Loblaw Company Limited to initiate a school garden.  The garden will serve as a living laboratory where students will actively engage in growing food for local consumption.  It is intended to teach students the challenges of growing food in Northern Ontario, in addition to making them aware of a dependence on a relatively unstable global food market.  The project is intended to inspire students to take the lessons learnt at school to their home's and to initiate ho

Billings Forge Community Works

Billings Forge Community Works (BFCW) envisions a strong, stable and vibrant Frog Hollow where all residents have access to healthy and affordable food; where all youth have access to quality education and enrichment programming; and where there are job opportunities for all neighborhood residents.

BFC W is a driving force for community participation and empowerment in Frog Hollow through promoting access to healthy food; engaging youth; and developing employment opportunities and economically sustainable social enterprises.

Toyota Evergreen Learning Grounds

 Over the last 20 years, Evergreen’s nation-wide Learning Grounds Program has brought school communities together to transform barren school grounds into healthy, natural and creative outdoor classrooms. By planting trees, shrubs and vines, and adding shade, seating and heritage vegetable gardens, learning opportunities come alive.
