Farmer Frog is Branch of the 501c3 non-profit organization, Foundation for Sustainable Communities. We are promoting, supporting, teaching, and practicing intense urban and small scale agriculture utilizing cutting edge season extender technologies producing 365 days a year. Our organization was and continues to be inspired by Will Allen’s Growing Power model.

Carver's Produce Edible Schoolyard

The life of George Washington Carver will always be remembered through his contributions to humanity, agriculture, and our environment. He left behind a selfless legacy to guide future generations into greater heights. Father Carver, as we affectingly call him, had a passion for teaching his students and taking them “into the field” for research at Tuskegee Institute (Tuskegee University). 

Pittsburg Unified School District

Pittsburg USD has created a Farm to school environment where we are utilizing Farm to school for our enhanced Nutrition program.  In addition, through the USDA Farm to School program grant, we will source and procure fresh, local produce to serve in our nutrition program.  This will aid in our community support and allow for students to learn how the Food system works. 

The Human Path Sustainable Gardening Program

Sustainable gardening makes up an important part of the homestead movement back to better health and a stronger connection to the land.  Introducing these garden techniques to youth is a great way to bring simple concepts into their every day life and give an alternative to the highly processed fast-food that is present everywhere.  Putting youth in charge of the growing process as well as the harvest and preserving of the food teaches life-long self reliance skills that will benefit them regardless of where they live.  The ability to effectively grow both medicinal and edible plants is one

Soil America

Soil America is a non profit based out of The Redland in Homestead, Florida.

We serve and offer our resources to Greater Miami & the Florida Keys. (Miami-Dade / Broward + Monroe County)

We stand for clear communication between growers and the public.

Raising awareness in communities about clean food is important, not just for our health, but also for the agricultural integrity our soil deserves.

Boys & Girls Club Student/Community Garden at Consuleo Mendez Middle School

 The school/community garden was created in response to the community's need that were brought up during a town hall meeting at the local elementary school in 2013. The community is in need of access to nutritious foods for its students and residents. 

Our school is located in Austin, TX. in the 78744 zip code which houses the highest amount of obese residents in all of Austin/Travis County.

we are still in the development phase where our long term goal is to provide access for the students and the community to fresh produce grown locally here in their community.

City Blossoms

City Blossoms is a non-profit organization working out of the Washington D.C. area dedicated to kid-driven, community engaging, creative green spaces. City Blossoms began nine years ago as a volunteer project and has since evolved into a year-round program that includes consulting, curriculum development (with consideration for learning standards), and regular on-site workshops. To date, City Blossoms has worked with over 3000 children and youth in various gardening projects.

 The Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society at UC Berkeley brings together researchers, organizers, stakeholders, communicators, and policymakers to identify and eliminate the barriers to an inclusive, just, and sustainable society and to create transformative change toward a more equitable nation.

Students for Environmental Sustainability

SES (Students for Environmental Sustainability) is a year old organization started by students at Kennesaw State University outside of Atlanta. The purpose of this organization is to develope a sustainable model of local food production and distribution in an urban environment.
