The following description is a summary of our farm to school plan funded by a 2013 USDA Farm to School Program grant: To develop regional strategies for ramping up season‐extended production of fruits and vegetables and document opportunities for K‐12 buyers to purchase regionally grown grains and pulses.

Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities

In 2014, the Groundwork Center celebrated our 10-year anniversary of farm to school programming in northwest Michigan. 

Starting with just a few activities in one school in 2004, our program now spans two Intermediate School Districts serving seven counties in Northwest Lower Michigan, reaching more than 25,000 students. 

Moose River Valley Green Team Collaborative

The following description is a summary of our farm to school plan funded by a 2013 USDA Farm to School Program grant: To provide education and develop and sustain locally grown foods in collaboration with volunteers and businesses for improved economic development, health and wellness of children and families and increase agricultural opportunities in the community.

Boston Public Schools Farm to School Program

The following description is a summary of our farm to school plan funded by a 2013 USDA Farm to School Program grant: To expand student and community engagement through farm field trips, experiential learning opportunities, and community dinners, and also build cafeteria staff capacity through culinary training.

Massachusetts Farm to School Project

The following description is a summary of our farm to school plan funded by a 2013 USDA Farm to School Program grant: To create a statewide F2S network to share best practices and promote learning opportunities, improve communication with child nutrition program administrators, develop culinary leadership training for school food service professionals, etc.

The Three Sisters Project
