Florida for Growing Gardens

I can gather police department officials being that my father is a Lieutenant of the Metro-Dade police department. I can also hold a town meeting being that the officials reside on my street. I can get in contact with the presdient of FIU being that I am still a student. I can gather a handful of principals from public and private schools and I can also gather Judicial officials from the state if needed to truly have an impacting message to the community.

the school for the young years

We have been gardening with our children ages 3-5 years of age for the past six years.  Last year we doubled the size of our graden in the 3-5 year old playground and added a garden bed in our infant and toddler playground.  The children help plant, harvest and cook with the produce and herbs that we have grown.  Our summer focus for the past two years has been from "seed to table".  We have intentionally focussed on showing children how our food is grown and how we use it to prepare healthy foods.

The Edible Gardens by Green City Market

Chicago’s Green City Market is home to The Edible Gardens, a 5,000 square-foot urban agriculture project growing in the heart of Lincoln Park Zoo’s Farm-in-the-Zoo. As Green City Market’s primary educational outreach program, The Edible Gardens’ mission is to connect Chicago youth with their food hands-on, and to ensure that families have the knowledge, experience, and inspiration to help support a sustainable food system.

The Growing Home and Learning Center

The Growing Home is an urban farm, educational center, and edible landscape company located in Diamond Bar, CA (near LA). Since 2008, we have grown thousands of pounds of fruits, vegetables, and herbs on our 5000 sq ft of land, feeding our family and our local community. We believe that growing food makes more sense than growing grass, that it is time for our society to reconnect with the food it eats, and that the best healthcare is fresh, vibrant, organic food. We strive to educate people and help them grow their own food.
