Amity Montessori School

Amity Montessori School enjoys an organic school garden that is planted, tended, and harvested by the children attending the school. We use the garden for snack, cooking activities, food prep., Practical Life, and learning about Science, Math, and nutrition. In addition, we base most of our Summer Camp activities out of the garden.

Our Kids' Place

We have a preschool garden serving 43 children and their families. We have about 12 spanish speaking families. Most of our families qualify for free lunch program. Our garden is about 3 years old and growing. We need all the help we can get!

Healthy Communities Coalition

Since 2010, Healthy Communities Coalition has strategically worked towards improving our area’s food system. We began developing a food hub by connecting local, state, and federal agencies, tribal groups, farmers, businesses, and community volunteers around the goal of creating an affordable, accessible and fair food system that bolsters our local agriculture economy, provides for residents in need, builds demand for locally grown foods, and creates a sustainable source of healthy food.
