Longview Farms

Longview Farms is a family farm located in Havana, Florida and nested in restored longleaf pine forest. The mission of the farm is to raise healthy grass-fed and finished Devon cattle, pastured chickens and pigs, and healthy vegetables free of pesticides and chemical fertilizer. The farm is also committed to providing students of all ages opportunities to immerse themselves in nature, and get hands-on experience with sustainable farming.

Community GroundWorks

Community GroundWorks is a nonprofit organization that connects people to nature and local food. Through hands-on education, children and adults learn gardening, urban farming, healthful eating and to care for natural areas. Organized in Madison, Wisconsin in 2001 as The Friends of Troy Gardens, Community GroundWorks serves diverse communities and schools across the region.

Mission

Kresson School Garden

This is our second planting season for our Kresson School Garden.  It is my hope to expand on the goals of sustainable and healthy eating along with creating connections between young children and food production.

Central Park East II School Garden

The Central Park East II Garden Committee just completed building an outdoor garden, nestled atop a large concrete playground at 103st and Madison Avenue. It is currently comprised of a series of 10”-high raised beds, an inground perennial area and a digging bed for students to explore the magic and wonder of soil.   We are currently growing herbs, native perennials and a seasonal rotation of annual vegetable crops.

Farm Lot 59

We love our Little Learners and welcome you to come to the farm for a customized hands on field trip. All ages and grade levels are welcome. We ask for a $5 donation per person attending. Its best for us to keep groups between 15-30 total people per group. If you have more than that we can split the lesson in 2 parts, add a nature walk or tour of EDCO recycling across the street. After you tell us a little about your group and what you are interested in learning we will confirm your trip date and tailor the lesson for your group.

Rockin' Gardens Raised Bed Gardens

We build complete Raised Bed Vegetable Gardens to help Kids, Families, and Schools get a great start to growing their own food!

My husband and I live in Seacoast NH and have been doing landscaping and garden design for over 10 years.  This year we extended our businesses to include complete Raised Bed Vegetable Gardens for homeowners and schools.  Please check out our new website, and if you know anyone looking to install a new garden, please share our info.  Thank you!

Boca Raton Christian School

Boca Raton Christian School is a Green School. We currently have several gardens on campus, both vegetable and butterfly. The gardens are used to teach agriculture and the life cycle of the butterfly. We compost on campus and recycle many items, such as paper, plastic, cans, ink cartridges, chip bags, and Capri Sun. We are always looking for new ways to excite students about their environment and to learn ways to be good stewards of our environment.

Trigg School Garden

The Delta Health Alliance (DHA) Healthy Living project promotes school gardens and offers support to develop garden infrastructure and to facilitate the use of the 5th Grade School Garden Curriculum, which was created by DHA and other partners specifically for Mississippi’s growing season and aligned to state standards.

Indian Mountain School

Indian Mountain School provides traditional education for boys and girls from pre-kindergarten through grade nine. Founded in 1922, the school features among the best Lakeville CT boarding schools. Honesty, compassion, respect, and service are four of the core values of the school, which helps students gain confidence and balance both academics and extra-curricular activities. FOLO

FOLO stands for Feed Our Loved Ones. FOLO Farms is run by six families on a mission to feed the world nutritionally power packed, bio-nutrient rich vegetables. Our farming methods are 100% organic, although we have not got round to getting certified organic status yet.

We have three farms in JB. Our first is a half acre farm at Kempas. This is a demo farm, where we do all our experimenting. This is the only farm open to public at the moment as we have built a proper events space/café here. We run events such as school tours, private workshops, cooking lessons.
