Kids in the Ambassador’s Kitchen

Since 2009, the Residence at Embassy Bern has conducted programs for children in the Kitchen Garden on the east side of the property. Students learn how foods are harvested, become conscious of the environmental advantages of eating locally grown fresh foods, and are taught the best ways to cook foods in order to preserve their nutritional value.

St. Jude's Academy

St. Jude’s, a private school in Mississauga,  strives to prepare each child for high school, university and for life. Orangevale Open Community Garden

We have a school garden and orchard that we are improving this year.  It was about 300 square meters and we are going to make it close to 400 square meters this weekend.  I take my 7/8 graders out every Friday. We have teamed up with 3,4, and 6 th grade classes at the start of this year and are looking to get every student involved.

 

 

Rocketship Los Sueños School Garden

Our school garden serves 500 students from grades K-5. It contains 12 beds and an open learning space where I teach a daily curriculum of life sciences, earth sciences, nutrition, gardening, and more.

The Montessori School at Hampstead

Montessori School at Hampstead (MSH) is a private, non-profit school in Montgomery, Alabama offering children in central Alabama an exceptional education based on proven Montessori principles.

MSH is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors and began operations in August 2011. MSH seeks to develop tomorrow’s leaders by encouraging critical thinking through an experiential curriculum with focuses on environmental stewardship and global studies.

Newton Community Farm

The mission of Newton Community Farm is to nurture a community that teaches and models sustainable agricultural and environmental practices on the historic Angino Farm.

We are dedicated to providing the community with an authentic farm experience that highlights  and promotes sustainable growing practices.

As a fully operational farm, we have the ideal setting for hands-on, interactive learning for all ages and skill level on site as well as offering outreach programs in the local community.

Urban Famers Association

Urban Farmers Association is a program of Helping Build Success. We help schools and communities get their gardens off the ground and growing. We supply all the materials needed to establish and grow a garden. We offer help in the establishment of curriculums that explore the themes of farming, production and distribution. New Hope Christian Academy Urban Farm

New Hope Christian Academy is a private school located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee. We have been doing small gardens since 2000. In 2013 we began to convert an acre vacant lot into an urban farm. Students participate in the planting, caring, and harvesting of the Farm produce. We have a weekly Garden Club of highly interested students, as well as many classes using the Farm for more traditional lessons.

Rocketship Mosaic School Garden

Rocketship Mosaic is a public charter school in East San Jose, CA, serving students from Kinder-5th grade. The garden was founded in the fall of 2013 with 13 raised beds where students grow, taste and take home fresh fruits and vegetables. The garden is also a classroom where students apply learning from all subject areas, and where students with all learning abilities succeed. Students reconnect with the natural world, inspiring a sense of stewardship for the school and our planet.

Shaw Elementary School

Shaw Elementary seeks to utilize the courtyard of our school to share scientific learning of plant cycles, environments, wildlife patters, life cycles and multiple other research and discovery based topics with our students!
