Berkeley Unified School District Gardening and Cooking Program

The Berkeley Public School Gardening and Cooking Program engages students with hands-on instruction in the garden. As part of the 2020 Vision and the District’s Integrated Wellness Policy, the Program is woven into student life District-wide to ensure the academic, physical, emotional, and health development of all students to affect three main areas of student learning from preschool through high school:

Oxnard Union High School District Farm to School

Our Farm to School Program is designed for the students, by our students. Our mission is to ensure that students have access to good quality, fresh, and locally grown produce each day. We serve 17,000 high school students in Oxnard and Camarillo through 8 schools.

Horizonte Corporativo

Program started in 1 school, 50 students in 2013

Now is working in 18 schools, 4000+ students in Casma and Ica, Peru

Main objectives are environmental education, nutrition and pedagogy. By teaching organic agriculture, we try to make fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables available to kids, and the school orchard is a powerful tool for making pedagogy

Sunny Patch Project

Our Sunny Patch Project was started as a way to raise awareness about food insecurity in our community. We felt that the best way to get people talking about food and access to food and garden fresh foods was to start a community garden.

Montgomery Middle STEAM Magnet - Health and Wellness Program

Our Purpose and Focus:
Educating and Empowering our Students to recognize that being HEALTHY is a choice. To truly be healthy you must recognize the important connections between your mind, your body, and your consciousness. Giving students the tools to be in charge of their personal health and wellbeing will increase academic success and prepare them to lead healthy lifestyles as adults.

The Green Bean Day School and Nursery

Early childhood, 0-6 day school & nursery. Reggio Emilia influenced with a side of a Waldorf farm camp experience.

Echo Canyon School Garden

Echo Canyon School Gardens are part of Echo Canyon School in Scottsdale Arizona. Our school utilizes the school gardens to foster the academic, social and emotional well being of our students though a wide variety of hands-on, experiential learning experiences.

Capital City Public Charter School

Capital City Public Charter School enables a diverse group of students to meet high expectations, develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, achieve a deep understanding of complex subjects, acquire a love of learning, along with a strong sense of community and character. We will graduate young adults who are self-directed, intellectually engaged and possess a commitment to personal and civic responsibility.

Parinama Edible Schoolyard China

Our Vision is to reconnect the relationship of children with real food and with nature. Through Parinama Edible Schoolyard China, we aim to help students in China develop other critical life skills, including: A sense of responsibility and ownership of their actions; increased interest in our relationship with food and with nature; improved social responsibilities; social-emotional learning; increased parental involvement.
