Land's Sake

A 501c3 nonprofit corporation, we run a public farm, host educational programming for all ages, maintain the town forest for recreational and production uses, and care for both public conservation and private land.

Our efforts are centered on three themes:

Environmental Education
Sustainable Land Management and Open Space Preservation
Community-Building and Caretaking

Old Trail School - Edible Education

Old Trail School is a nationally recognized Green Ribbon School and a Summit of Sustainability Award recipient, occupying 62 acres that are surrounded by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This unique location affords students and faculty the opportunity to observe and interact with the inspiring setting and vibrant community programs. Currently, Old Trail School has more than 530 students representing five counties and 46 zip codes in Northeast Ohio. Sustainability at Old Trail School emphasizes experiential learning, community service and leadership development.

Ohio State Extension-Farm to School

 Ohio's Farm to School Program provides youth, pre-K through college, with access to nutritious meals, while supporting local farmers and communities. This program provides children with fresh, local food, and helps them understand where their food comes from and how food choices affect their health, environment and community. The Ohio Farm to School program is part of a national network and involves many local, state and regional partners, advisors and projects.

Something Good in the World

Something Good in the World is a grass roots environmental educational organization, which operates as a public charity under section 501c3 of the IRS code. 

Custom Fit Kids

  The program/club will give kids values and confidence needed to go through life. The themes will be surrounded around managing money, the process of positive thinking and outcomes of it, healthy lifestyle physical, emotional, and mental. We will involve the children in the decision making process to help them develop critical thinking skills. The children will also have the ability to develop their own web presences on our blog at www.childgrowthandlearning.com.

GrowingGreat

 GrowingGreat is a nationwide community-based non-profit education organization dedicated to inspiring children and adults to adopt healthy eating habits, decreasing the risk of obesity and disease.  Our goal is to help children, families and our communities understand where our food comes from, appreciate that food serves a purpose in our overall health and has an impact on our longevity and well being.  GrowingGreat educates PreK-5th grade students through teaching gardens and classroom nutrition linked to standardize curriculum.

University of California Davis School Gardening Program

The UC Davis School Gardening Program is a program of the Agricultural Sustainability Institute on the UC Davis campus. It is located at the Ecological Garden and Student Farm on campus. The program provides an array of opportunities for learning about gardening, farming, food systems, nutrition, and the development and use of school gardens.  These opportunities serve audiences ranging in age from kindergarten students, through youth and college students, up to adult educator groups. 
 

Marion-Polk Food Share Youth Gardens

Marion-Polk Food Share is leading the fight to end hunger in Marion and Polk counties in Oregon. While we provide emergency food boxes, we recognize we have the responsibility to address root causes of hunger and "stop the line before it starts" by providing youth nutrition awareness and food systems education in our communities. 

Growums Garden Kits Made Just For Kids

Growums are themed garden kits that allow children to grow complete gardens and encourage them to eat healthy foods- a vital concern for educators and parents everywhere, as our country
continues the fight against childhood obesity. Growums has 6 different garden kits (Pizza, Taco, Salad, Stir-Fry, Herb, and Ratatouille) that comes with a self-watering tray, 8 seed-starting pellets, 4 different types of seeds and 8 character plant ID tags.
