Lower Elementary

St. Catherine School Garden

We have an area of 50' x 100' of raised beds and open areas, including several fruit trees. Teachers work with our Garden Coordinator to plan lessons that tie in with classroom curriculum. Food from the garden is used for classroom activities and some is given to our onsite food bank.

Cambridge Elementary School Garden

Our school garden has about a dozen raised beds of vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers. We have compost containers, an on-site "garden shed" made from an old shipping container.

Boulder Creek Elementary Learning Garden

The BCE Learning Garden is a parent run garden program for children in grades K-5.

Pittsburg Unified School District

Pittsburg USD has created a Farm to school environment where we are utilizing Farm to school for our enhanced Nutrition program.  In addition, through the USDA Farm to School program grant, we will source and procure fresh, local produce to serve in our nutrition program.  This will aid in our community support and allow for students to learn how the Food system works. 

Rogue Valley Farm to School

 Rogue Valley Farm to School offers school garden activities, farm field trips, tasting tables, and works with local farmers and food service to increase the use of local food in school meals.  Educational programs serve 5 school districts in two counties of the Rogue Valley.

The Gardens at Prairie

Students, teachers, families and neighbors of the Prairie Elementary community are coming together to live, learn, work and play in a more sustainable way!

NOSH Nourishing Our Student's Health

NOSH teaches children how to have healthy bodies. This program is a hands-on cooking and nutrition class for young people. Children will experience the pleasures of preparing and enjoying "real food" that is both nutritious and delicious - an essential step toward health and well-being. Through cooking, games, stories and films kids learn how to eat well in addition to becoming expert label detectives. Come see what's cooking!

 

Gahanna Learning Gardens

The Gahanna Learning Garden program is an outreach project from The Ohio Herb Education Center (www.ohioherbcenter.org) Gahanna, Ohio is the Herb Capital of Ohio, receiving that title in 1972.   This garden program partners with local schools to incorporate gardens on school grounds, providing outdoor learning spaces for students.

Our first garden will be installed in the spring of 2014.  .  The garden will be planted with native plants as well as herbs.

Soil America

Soil America is a non profit based out of The Redland in Homestead, Florida.

We serve and offer our resources to Greater Miami & the Florida Keys. (Miami-Dade / Broward + Monroe County)

We stand for clear communication between growers and the public.

Raising awareness in communities about clean food is important, not just for our health, but also for the agricultural integrity our soil deserves.

Jose Ortega Elementary School Green Paws Program

 Our Green Paws Ecoliteracy program is funded by the Jose Ortega PTA. Each week our Garden Consulant works with students and teachers in the garden areas of our school.
