University of Tennessee Gardens

We offer a variety of programs for children, families and adults. We host garden day camps durring the summer, year-round programs for pre-school and elementary school children, Garden Trips for schools, and ?Home Grown for homeschool families.

Collective Roots

 Collective Roots is a nonprofit organization founded and based in East Palo Alto, CA. We seek to promote food justice by engaging youth and communities in garden-based learning and nutrition education to positively impact health. Collective Roots achieves its mission through the innovative integration and implementation of two key program areas: school based programs and community based programs.

Palisades Elementary Charter School Discovery Garden

 Our school has a parent driven completely volunteer run program in the Discovery Garden. 

We integrate curriculum based learning in K-4 classrooms once a month.

UnHunger

  Hello! I am a high school student in Marin county and the founder of UNHUNGER, a non-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between private gardens and low-income people and their families. Check out my website, www.unhunger2012.org to learn more.

Since our establishment in 2012, we have collected over 550 pounds of fresh produce and delivered it to the Marin Food Bank. If you would like to partner with me please contact me at unhunger2012@gmail.com!

Art and Gardening

Art and Gardening How does your garden grow? Teaming up with Permacultivate and the Community Garden at Albright College, students who come for field trips, summer camp, Family Days, and the Art Lab, will have the opportunity to dig in to our new program that joins art and nature. Explore the greenhouse, the trees on campus and the gardens – by taking student lead tours that culminate in botanical drawing projects, nature related crafts, and much more.

The Cooperation Operation

 The Cooperation Operation is a community gardening organization that promotes food security on the South East side of Chicago. By implementing a large scale community farm, back yard gardens, and learning gardens in local public schools, this new organization hopes to establish healthy practices and a sustainable culture in this region of the city of Chicago.

Project GROWS

Project GROWS is a 10-acre, youth-oriented community farm in the rolling hills of Augusta County, Virginia, on Berry Farm Road. We are a non-profit whose mission is to improve the overall health of children and youth in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County through community farming that includes hands-on experience, nutrition education, and access to healthy food.

10,000 Gardens in Africa - Tunisia

Creating 10,000 good, clean and fair food gardens in African schools and communities means not only raising awareness among young generations about the importance of food biodiversity and access to healthy, fresh food, but also training a network of leaders aware of the value of their land and their culture who can serve as protagonists for change and the continent’s future.

This project has created 12 gardens.
