Florida Farm to School Program, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services

The Florida Farm to School program partners local farms with K-12 schools to provide Florida children with nourishing, locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables in school cafeterias.

Living Classroom

The mission of Living Classroom is to inspire children to learn and value our natural world through garden-based education. We collaborate with schools and communities to provide engaging, hands-on lessons that stimulate curiosity and instill a love of learning.  We create beautiful outdoor learning laboratories that give children from a wide variety of backgrounds a compelling introduction to STEM, environmental science and other sugjects.  We offer a full range of program services to assure consistency and sustainability within a school cdistrict.

Antigua International School

The Antigua International School (AIS) was founded to provide a world-class education, based on critical thinking, to the children of Guatemala, regardless of their socio-economic status.  Half of AIS's student body receives scholarships to attend. Through an Edible Schoolyard, our hope is to educate students and the extended community on the benefits of growing their own food.  AIS's diverse student population provides a great opportunity to create positive nutritional changes in Guatemala.

Growing A Healthier Future

The Growing a Healthier Future program is an after-school program that is held at the Farmington Community Center, a 501(C)3  non-profit organization. The program is supported in part through grants from Novant Health and the Woodson Foundation, and from recources through the Davie Co Health Dept. and Davie Cooperative Extension.

The Kids Cook Monday!

The Kids Cook Monday initiative encourages families to set aside the first night of every week for cooking and eating together as a family. The Kids Cook Monday provides examples of family friendly recipes and video demonstrations along with a free starter family dinner toolkit- making it easy for families to cook and eat together every Monday.

The Food Trust

The Food Trust's mission is to ensure that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food and information to make healthy decisions. Working with neighborhoods, schools, grocers, farmers and policymakers, we've developed a comprehensive approach to improved food access that combines nutrition education and greater availability of affordable, healthy food.

Super Sprowtz

Our mission is to use the educational power of media to help children learn about nutrition and wellness. Our program seamlessly integrates a proven curriculum that addresses children’s critical developmental needs around nutrition education with an exciting multi-media approach. Harrison Park K-8 Garden

A dedicated 8,000sf school garden is partnered with a 12,000sf community garden on Portland Public Schools property to serve the whole family and whole community of Harrison Park Students. In-class and after school garden programming is provided through our partners Portland Earth Art and Agriculture Project and Impact Northwest.
