Three Squares

 We work throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to provide nutrition education and improved access to healthy food in low-income communities.

We run Cooking Matters, a national program created by Share Our Strength, which is a free, hands-on cooking and nutrition series for low-income families. We collaborate with community partners such as schools, health clinics, food pantries, and community centers to make our food system more equitable, three square meals at a time.

The Organic Gardener

The Organic Gardener Ltd. (TOG) creates beautiful and productive organic edible gardens. We provide our clients with a full line of services, including design, installation, maintenance, and education. 

Wildfood Workshop at Campus Klarenthal

Peter Becker is the founder of NewTritionInk and owner of the Knottyfood Manufactory.

The Trained Chef and Nutritional Consultant is also involved in the Taste the Waste Movement.

As the initiator of "The Bionic Control of Invasive Plant Species" he`s developed a program the pactise "Nature Conservation with Fork & Knife"

Since 2010 he is operating the Wildfood Workshop at Campus Klarenthal.

Edutopia

Edutopia is a resource website for educators, dedicated to improving the K-12 learning process by documenting, disseminating, and advocating for innovative, replicable, and evidence-based strategies that prepare students to thrive in their future education, careers, and adult lives.

We offer some resources and videos around green education, school gardens, and student nutrition on our website.

 

Nourish

Nourish is an educational initiative designed to increase food literacy and build healthy communities. Nourish offers a rich set of resources to support educators who want to open a meaningful conversation about food and sustainability, including K-12 teachers, school administrators, farm-to-school and garden coordinators, food service staff, health professionals, and nonprofit support providers.

TEC Community Garden

The community of schools on the Taft Educational Campus have started a Green Education Program with a SEED grant from the "Grow to Learn NYC: The Citywide School Gardens Initiative" and materials provided by Green Thumb. We are building our first garden area this spring, 2012, and several of the schools in the building are raising plants. Our garden will be in operation by the beginning of summer.

The Edible Gardens by Green City Market

Chicago’s Green City Market is home to The Edible Gardens, a 5,000 square-foot urban agriculture project growing in the heart of Lincoln Park Zoo’s Farm-in-the-Zoo. As Green City Market’s primary educational outreach program, The Edible Gardens’ mission is to connect Chicago youth with their food hands-on, and to ensure that families have the knowledge, experience, and inspiration to help support a sustainable food system.

In 2009, Treasure Island Job Corps embarked on an incredible community-wide project to create a farm on center. Today, that one-acre piece of land is an active, production-focused, educational farm that touches every aspect of our center. The farm boasts a greenhouse, chickens, an outdoor kitchen, a state-of-the-art irrigation system, orchards, and solar panels.

Wintergreen Studios

Wintergreen Studios is a charitable education and retreat centre. Our sustainable off-grid facilities provide comfortable gathering places for meetings, workshops, and private functions. Guests learn new skills, engage in mindful living, and return to their homes and workplaces inspired and refreshed.
