Garden Classrooms

Cultivating Community - East End Elementary School

We run garden classes in the school garden in the Fall and Spring, and cooking/ nutrition classes in the winter

Wang Garden

The Wang School was the first school garden we ever helped build. Going into its third year, the garden is still proving to be a place for great hands on education. Placed right behind the school where students have recess, the garden has become a normal stopping ground for everyone.

Lowell High School Career Academy Garden

LHSCA is an alternative high school for students who moved from the main high school. Since its beginning, the garden has become a very popular place for students. It was built right in front of the school so students see it every time they walk into the school.

STEM Garden

The STEM school is a unique school given its small population size and its practice of STEM education at such an early age. Because of that, the garden has become a big resource for the school. It has become a place for science experiments but also a place for students to learn about healthy foods.

Stoklosa School Garden

The garden at the Stoklosa has truly become a living and thriving system. Placed behind the school, the garden has doubled in sized over the past year given the excitement from teachers and students. A handful of dedicated teachers have made the garden into a beautiful place where everyone likes to be.

Bartlett Courtyard Garden

Built in the spring of 2015, this garden is literally in the center of the school in their courtyard. It is surrounded by all the classrooms and even the cafeteria so the students can always see it. It has become a big part of the culture in the school and on any given day you will see classrooms out there exploring.

Robinson & McAuliffe School Garden

This garden is in the middle of a campus style school where it serves both elementary and middle school students. The garden has gained a lot of traction of the past year and it has become a huge resource for both schools.

Medomak Valley High School Heirloom Seed Project

Medomak Valley High School has the oldest school based seed saving program in the United States. We preserve over 800 varieties in our seed bank and our gardens are expanding each year.
