SKEF's Learning Gardens aim to provide students with a wide array of experiential educational opportunities in which they can come to understand and appreciate food systems and acquire actual life-skills which empower them to take charge of their own family's food security. From container gardening to edible landscaping SKEF hopes to inspire a sense of environmental stewardship as well as respect for self and others and a desire to strengthen this in-need community through growing food.
