Students for a Sustainable Future (SSF)

SSF is a student club at Lebanon High School, Lebanon, NH.  Starting as advocates for recycling in the school, the club has branched out into other sustainable activities.  Most recently, we launched a composting program in the high school cafeteria and a school garden.

Sustainable Farm School

The Sustainable Farm School is an independent day school for children ages 3 to 18 that offers core academics, holistic personal development, and a model for sustainable living.

Edison PreK-8 7th Grade Community Garden

Edison PreK-8 7th Grade class is starting a community garden this year.  They have recieved grants to farm 8 raised beds, and will hopefully hold a harvest dinner for the community before the end of this school year!

 

The Agrinauts Training Program

The Agrinauts Training Program takes on the challenges of the once established horticulture classroom at the Ghazvini Learning Center in Tallahassee, Fl, to pioneer students to develop their lifestyle and ocllective culture consciously through our relationship with food, academics, home, and community.

Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy PCS

mary McLeod BEthune Day Academy and garden partners collaborate with classroom teachers to teach science and nutrition lessons in the school garden and offer a regular after-school enrichment program experiences. Garden activities extend the vital science and nutrition learning beyond the school day and connect students to the development and daily care of their school garden. All students will have the opportunity to benefit from opportunities to learn about science and health in their school garden.

MaMa Florence

MaMa Florence is a new cooking school in Florence. It is a space created to offer cooking classes to people of all levels of cooking skill and to enable them to explore food, nutrition, ingredients, techniques and tastes in a convivial and warm environment in the heart of Tuscany.

Brenham ISD Outdoor Education

The Outdoor Education Program at Brenham ISD develops and coordinates outdoor learning activites for students in Pre-K through Grade 12. We are building on a strong foundation to reach every student in every classroom.

The Spiderweb Food Garden

The Spiderweb Garden, our organic food garden, was started 6 years ago by parents Wanda Georgis and Edna Ruiz. Our Greening Committee, now 12 dedicated Withrow School parents, has the support of teachers, students, Care Taking staff, Principal and Vice​- Principal.

Springhouse Green

 The reinvention of our food system is now part of the national dialogue with employers, employees, and communities at large looking to positively affect today’s concerns about escalating health care costs, food security and nutrition, personal and family health, community development, and “carbon footprint.” Springhouse Green offers simple solutions for greening corporate and community spaces with vegetable garden buildouts, nutrition counseling, lunch-and-learn workshops, garden maintenance services, and LEED applications.

Cheremoya Edible Garden & Wildlands

Cheremoya Elementary is located in the heart of Hollywood directly below the famous Hollywood sign. We are a low-income and underserved school within LAUSD. Our garden is a small edible raised bed space utilizing part of the schools payground.  With the help of a group in Los Angeles that transforms spaces in gardens, ENRICHLA, we turned the asphalt into a cheerful, inviting space, where students are able to learn in an active, outdoor environment.  Our garden acts as catalyst to show students just how versatile, delicious, and FUN healthy food can be, developing positive attitudes toward h
