About the Program:

The UVA Community Garden is a student-run organic garden in the middle of UVA's campus. It was founded three years ago and serves as an example of local, sustainable gardening to students and members of the greater Charlottesville community. We engage the community through twice weekly workdays, monthy potlucks, and other events such as workshops and speakers. Food harvested from the garden is shared by those who volunteer in the garden, and surplusses are donated to those in need.

After three years the UVA Community garden is still growing strong and we're excited to see what we'll be capable of in the future.
