Urban Ventures

We have been gifted with a greenhouse. It will be moved from its' existing site to our campus, and put to use growing fresh produce and herbs for use in our kitchen, with students and families to learn more about nutritious eating as well as for our Learning Lab students to learn the science of plant life and growth. This grant will provide seed, pots, and tools for 95 students to be hands-on in the greenhouse, year-round. Students will be involved in various planting experiments, have master gardeners and our own Chef Steve teach them the process, the science and the good eating from the greenhouse to the kitchen.
