Urban Roots

Urban Roots is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing healthy minds, bodies, and communities by transforming the education process from the ground up. We believe that food is a powerful tool for academic and nutrition education when it is fully integrated into the classroom and accessible to the community. To this end, Urban Roots offers school-based and summer programming for students, professional development for teachers, workshops for families, and special public events to further promote healthy, sustainable lifestyles in our community.
