Goals
Our goal is to provide farm based and nature based therapies and promote animal assisted therapies in Lexington Kentucky on a 10 acre farm. Stable Meadows contributes to the mind, body and health mandate, by way of providing programs and services in a caring and safe environment, which utilize a traditional therapeutic center as well as a Kentucky Horse Farm for focusing on mind, body and wellness growth through experiential learning and personal discovery. These services offer a positive contribution to the greater Central Kentucky community, encompassing eco-friendly practices as well an eco-educational framework. Our goal is to work with the Agricultural programming to add to the maintenance of the farm to incorporate farming practices to produce healthy food and support our animals that are participating in our animal assisted therapies programs by incorporating the Stable Living initiative which is an opportunity for veterans to obtain an internship while also working on personal development skills to support transition to civilian life.
