The gardening goal is to maintain the indoor and outdoor gardens while getting the students to "go green". We would like to educate the students on proper nutrition, pollution awareness and gardening through hands on experience. Participants will gain knowledge in reading, math and science through research, investigation, observation, and comparative quantitative analysis of cities verses suburban communities. Students will learn self pride in the community, understanding on how they can take a stand in creating a better quality of life in their neighborhoods through understanding the effects of air & water pollution, and how global warming plays an important role in the health of the individuals that live in the community.
