Sierra Harvest is an organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and connecting western Nevada County’s families to fresh, local, seasonal foods. Our farm to school program is in 19 schools serving over 6,000 students! The program includes a local produce stand at each school, a “Harvest of the Month” program, farm field trips, school garden consultations, and guest appearances by farmers, nutrition educators, and chefs. We also have an educational farm called the Food Love Project which provides field trips, serivce projects, and Upicks.  Through this site, we run a farm educator internship program.

Sierra Harvest offeres resources and training materials for other rural areas interested in adopting this farm to school model.
