About the Program:

Santa Fe High School has a school garden in development with the hopes to be an outdoor and experiential classroom for many teachers and subjects, as well as an opportunity to produce food for the school's cafeteria. We would like to reinvigorate the garden program at the high school, providing the necessary resources to make it a viable means of food production for students who are passionate about changing the food lanscape at their school. This year, we will teach a food system and service learning course for 9-12 grade, giving them the insight into our current food system, and using their school garden and cafeteria as a means to make meaningful changes to their immediate school community through service.
