The goal of the school garden is to instill an understanding that food comes from the earth. That we must take care of this earth in order for it to provide. That in teaching students how to combine plants, to produce maximum yields , we teach them to use resources wisely, to make the most of what they have. In showing which animals to encourage the presence of ( earth worms, bees, ladybugs), in order to discourage pest we make them appreciate that every living creature is part of the balance and that through nurturing the soil, you nurture your body.
