About the Program:

The goal of this garden is to provide healthy and nutritious produce to students, staff, business and community partners of the school. This produce will be sold to benefit the students in the program and given to them to supplement their nutritional needs. Also, students will increase their knowledge of agricultural produce. Our food supply is becoming more localized due to high transportation costs and this grant will help the students participate in the local market. We will be sowing 120 lettuce seeds every Monday morning to ensure a perpetual harvest from September 2, 2013 to May 16, 2014 in our greenhouse.
