About the Program: 

RECREA, Escuela para la Vida, is an educational initiative of the Government of the State of Jalisco that aims to promote health and the integral development of children through socio-emotional skills and healthy lifestyles.

The life skills needed to live are developed throughout life, and this development can be intentional and directed by educational institutions from early stages.

Objective of the Program:

To develop social-emotional skills and healthy lifestyles in children through workshops on nutrition, physical education, food assistance and arts.

Teaching practices: active pedagogy, experiential learning, pedagogy of being and self-care.

Curriculum: The program will include: 1 hot and healthy meal every day; 5 hours per week of art workshops: dance, theater, puppets, choir and musical instruments; 5 hours per week of physical activation: tochito, volleyball, basketball; 3 hours per week of nutrition workshop; 2 hours per week of socio emotional skills workshop.

Children participating in the program, will also have access to the cultural offer of the state, access to tournaments and other sporting events, school insurance during the day and trips, brush and toothpaste and a health monitoring in order to measuere the effects of the program.

Monday to Friday from 12:30 to 17:00. 

Fee: No cost for the parents.
