Pupilas Gustativas

PUPILAS GUSTATIVAS is a food education program from Ecuador that seeks to awaken people’s interest for the different implications related to the act of eating throughout diverse multi-sensorial tools, such as film screenings, discussions, shared meals, etc., offered in farmers markets and theaters so far. 

We are a starting support organization that connects food educators that serve children, adolescents and adults, with other actors related to the food system and also with other food education experts. Our partners are food producers and vendors, researchers, cooks, seed savers, and governmental and non-governmental representatives. 

With this initiative we hope to consolidate a training and discussion platform in Ecuador that contributes to food knowledge construction and impacts on consumption habits, in order to build a food system that is more mindful of peoples’ and nature’s rights.
