Them they planted vegetables, herbs and added a bit of whimsy. This year the students weeded and repainted the garden boxes and were instucted to bring in spacific vegetables and herbs. They will monitor the growth of one of the plants that they bring in with a ruler. They will have a log where they will be keeping their data and observations made. Then the data will be graphed. They will also monitor the soil temperature and the air temperature.

Students will also be planting fruit trees this year. They will learn how to plant a tree, watch for shock and monitor insects that are found on the tree. They will learn if they are good or bad insects. There is also a composting bin for the waste material and a rain barrel to collect the water.
