About the Program:

The Peak School's mission: we seek to ignite passion for academic exploration and to cultivate learners who think critically, act with integrity, and inspire others. Students of diverse talents and backgrounds build a sense of identity and embrace their roles as local and global citizens. The Peak School Greenhouse classroom, at our high altitude of 9,100ft in Frisco, Colorado, will provide unique opportunities for students to engage in meaningful studies on resources and sustainability and gain understanding about the impact and importance of locally grown food. By partnering with community organizations, students and community members will collaborate on year-round growing and harvesting, connecting to rigorous academic curriculum. This curriculum focuses on nurturing curiosity and wonder of the natural world, asking relevant questions about their environment and community, develop processes for critical thinking, and communicate/work/live cooperatively.
