Morrill Elementary

The greatest gift of a garden is the restoration of the five senses. The goal for our garden is to truly make a safe, enjoyable and healthy place for the community to grow food, learn about new foods, share in the stewardship of a garden. With this grant we will make it our mission to promote healthy eating throughout the school community. We will grow fruit, vegetables and herbs throughout the growing season and provide educational workshops to students, parents, teachers and community members about how to prepare the foods, why this food is nutritious as well as promote the coming together of diverse groups over a common focus.
