Mobile Kitchen Classroom

Mobile Kitchen Classroom is a new nonprofit organization whose mission is to create safe and inspiring spaces where kids, parents, and members of the community can engage in hands-on lessons around food, health, and sustainability.

This year, Mobile Kitchen Classroom will launch two pilot projects: The School Garden at Bard High School Early College in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and the Mobile Kitchen Classroom, a fully-equipped mobile teaching kitchen that will provide high school students throughout the five boroughs with the opportunity to learn basic cooking skills and prepare simple, delicious, and healthy meals.

Our programs are designed to have a positive, lasting impact in the areas we serve, while addressing the particular space limitations faced by many New York City public schools and other organizations.
