About the Program:

Welcome to M.I.T.C.H. Charter School – the acronym, M.I.T.C.H., stands for Multi-Sensory Instruction Teaching Children Hands-on

We use the Core Knowledge Curriculum in Kindergarten through eighth grade providing a rigorous school environment where every student studies language arts and literature, history and geography, mathematics, science, music and the visual arts in a precise, sequentially structured manner. Our purpose in teaching content in a grade-by-grade, year-by-year coherent sequence is to give every student the advantage of building knowledge upon knowledge as an excellent preparation for high school.

As a school of choice in the Tigard Tualatin School District, we provide outstanding instruction integrated with an agricultural focus. We are a partner school in the School Stewardship Program through the Oregon Natural Resources Education Program and have an urban garden on campus with designated plots for each class, as well as a greenhouse.

Parent support is essential in maintaining high standards of academic achievement and responsible student behavior.
