Longfellow Elementary School

1. Further expand production of the Salida School Garden- Holman
- Obtain equipment for garden expansion (January-March 2014)
- Work with committee to develop production plan and prepare the site (Feb-March 2014)
- Work with NCCC crew to plant starts in the poly-house, prepare garden beds, and expand orchard (April 2014)
- Install irrigation and begin planting (May 2014)
- Planting/ Cultivation / Harvest/ Succession Planting (June-October 2014)

2. Strengthen the capacity of Salida School District Food Service to process and provide the garden produce to students through the school meal program.
-Purchase additional processing equipment that will aid in the proper storage for year-round use.

3. Foster the development of an integrated education program that incorporates the garden and healthy food and healthy living concepts into the Salida School District, prek-12 curriculum.
-Guidestone will continue to provide professional development opportunities to teachers and provide ongoing activities, assessments, classroom support and field trip opportunities.
