Lincoln Middle School

The primary goal of the garden will be to teach the children the possibilities that exist for them at their literal fingertips. The second goal is more personal. As we expect the garden to start as a project for a special needs class or grade level, this will provide excellent hands on learning with a clear beginning middle and end. The links from the garden to core curriculum lessons will be direct and easier to plan and teach thanks to the outdoor experience. Finally, we anticipate this garden creating a learning link between our students with special needs and our mainstream students. The possibilities will only grow with time (sorry for the dreadful pun!).
