Lakewood Elementary School

Our ongoing goal is to keep the garden viable and productive. The maintenance of the garden is very labor intensive and can drain volunteer hours. This project will transform sections of the garden into a food forest which will be more self-sustaining and reduce maintenance demands. It will still provide annual vegetables and add additional components of observing nature and ecosystems with perennials and fruit trees herb gardens mulch gardens butterfly gardens.
