About the Program:

Poor nutrition has significant impact on kids’ lives.  The problem is that kids don't know how to "eat healthy."  At Kids Cook!™ our hands-on cooking programs combat those issues by creating awareness and working to establish lifelong healthy behavior patterns.  Our mission is to provide children with hands-on cooking experience and to teach a wide variety of kitchen, and life, skills in a fun, safe environment.  Kids Cook!™  is a social enterprise and has three program components.

1.  We offer hands-on cooking classes for kids to the general public at a variety of venues in Central Arkansas.

2.  Our SPORK program is a nutrition-based, hands-on cooking series for kids and families and is offered through public and charter after-school enrichment and community-based programs.  SPORK changes kids' relationship to food.  It is an extensive home cooking program that touches all bases from kitchen safety to affordable family meals and which results in kids and families cooking healthy meals together at home.

3.  Kids Cookin' for a Cause! is a community service program in which kids cook for hungry Arkansans.  All the food prepared through this program is donated to local hunger relief agencies.
