Our goals are:
- To provide a hands-on classroom for our horticulture career pathway, grow edibles for students to eat, and engage them in physical activity.
- To teach students to be socially responsible citizens, positive agents of change, and, through teamwork and collaboration, to discover that "Peace is Possible."
- To involve students in activities that defuse anger and frustration while building self confidence and self esteem.
- To beautify our school, give shade to our campus, and create a positive learning environment.
- To model resiliency in overcoming the problems of gardening on asphalt.
- To build 21st century skills through cooperative gardening practices.
- To maintain the garden in ways that are innovative, sustainable, and ecological.
- To nurture student's naturalist intelligence.
- To create a demonstration garden of organically grown edibles in repurposed containers to ease the food insecurity of our families.
- To grow edibles for our Farmer's Market at our community Peace Conferences.
- To foster community spirit by connecting students, families, and local businesses.

The grant will help us build a shed, etc. as we strive to reach our goals.
