Inez Elementary School

Inez Elementary has a 4,500 sq. ft. garden area that was established approximately 4 years ago when our garden had to be moved to accommodate the building of a new cafeteria. Our school staff would like to have the garden improved with the final goal that we have a year round outdoor teaching and learning area for students grades Upper Elementary. By integrating use of the school garden within regular classroom curriculum students will gain a better understanding proper nutrition, health education, and the importance of physical activity. The school garden will also provide a vehicle for families and community members to partner with the school and support student learning.
