About the Program:
Through the process of planning planting maintaining and harvesting the crops students become actively involved in learning about the foods they eat enhancing healthy eating choices. Additionally research suggests students show improved academic success with increased involvement in the school culture as such the school garden provides an opportunity for many kids who would be unable to attend after school hours to become involved in a club and engage in the school environment.
