For decades students and faculty could find solace knowledge and inspiration from the Atrium. Unfortunately today the Atrium has has become a symbol of under-utilized spaces in inner cities and the decline in resources dedicated to inner city education. This proposal seeks to change that stigma and resurrect a gem of spaces. The Atrium garden due to its unique warm micro-climate(its indoors) seeks to grow fruits and vegetables that otherwise would not produce in outdoor Michigan climate
