Hidden Villa is a nonprofit educational organization that uses its organic farm, wilderness, and community to teach and provide opportunities to learn about the environment and social justice. Hidden Villa stretches over 1600 acres of open space in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, about 40 miles south of San Francisco. Our mission is to inspire a just and sustainable future through our programs, land and legacy.

Hands in the Soil= Hands-on Science
The Hands in the Soil = Hands-on Science collaborative, maintained by Hidden Villa, supports school gardens in Redwood City by providing K-12 teachers with an online tool for accessing resources and staff time.

Handsinthesoil.org supports a variety of services including expertise in garden-based teaching and curriculum, irrigation, creative garden design, and seasonal plantings. We understand the interdisciplinary possibilities within school gardens and are able to design and/or contribute to the educational opportunities of your outdoor learning space.

To inquire about these services, visit www.handsinthesoil.org and select the Scheduler from the top menu bar. From there, you will be led through the steps to complete the online scheduling request form. Once you have submitted your request, a Hidden Villa staff member will contact you within 72 hours.
