About the Program:

Our goal at Harding University Partnership's School Garden is to immerse each and every one of the students in the five pillars of Explore Ecology's Garden Education Program: Planting, Harvesting, Cultivating, Composting, and Nutrition. With the assistance of the Whole Kids Grant we will have the capability to purchase garden supplies for an after-school garden club devoted to students who are fervent about digging into garden education. In addition to educating elementary school children in grades K-6 in the intricacies of planting, cultivating, harvesting, composting, and nutrition, the school garden will also serve as a resource for the cafeteria. With the assistance of the Whole Kids Grant we can ensure that Harding School has enough vegetable starts to disperse throughout the more than ten beds in the garden. In addition to the vegetables, organic matter and organic fertilizer will be purchased to ensure a bountiful harvest to donate to the schools cafeteria.
