Happy Valley School's mission is to educate the whole child in a small, safe, community supported school that provides a solid foundation to achieve academic, social , and emotional success.

We are the successful recipients of the WesternGrowers LifeLab Grant. We are one of 100 schools in CA to receive this. With this grant we have hired a Life Lab coordinator to help our gardens grow! Our theme is an Italian Garden with heirloom tomatoes, herbs, etc.

The Career Advancement Charter’s mission is to provide a premier program for students to obtain a high school diploma with opportunities to acquire academic and technical skills that will lead to college and career readiness.

As part of the Santa Cruz County Office of Education, the Career Advancement Charter (CAC) partners with the Workforce Development Board, school districts, and other allies to achieve this mission by engaging students through work-based, relationship-focused, innovative and rigorous learning experiences resulting in graduates who will be “Ready for College and a Career”. The CAC will serve students ages 17 and older who have not yet obtained a high school diploma through programs provided in multiple locations within Santa Cruz County.
