Green Garden Child Development Center - Hazel Park

At Green Garden Child Development Center, our fruit and vegetable gardens in our outdoor classrooms are a central part of our learning experience. Our students are able to get their hands dirty and be an active participant in the natural cycles of the earth. They help plant, water, care for, and harvest the produce that is then integrated into our nutrition program, developing a hands-on understanding of where food their comes from. Through these experiences, students build a holistic appreciation for food, nature, and sustainability. This process fosters a deeper connection to nature and encourages curiosity about the environment.
